Who is Zakery?

Zakery Wiles is a proud Pitt-Greensburg public policy student, community organizer, and State Representative candidate in the 57th District of Pennsylvania. He has called the Greensburg area home since 2018, when his father, a United Methodist pastor, was appointed to serve the Youngwood and South Greensburg churches. Growing up in a working-class family, the values of service, faith, and standing up for what is right were instilled in Zakery at a young age.

After graduating from Hempfield Area Senior High School in 2021, Zakery organized petitions to ban conversion therapy in Pennsylvania, interned on Capitol Hill, and led community projects in his hometown. He believes public service is showing up and fighting for people who feel ignored by the status quo. He has worked part-time jobs, volunteered at local charities, and listened to his neighbors talk about the things that really matter: safe communities, good jobs, affordable health care, and opportunity for every family.

Zakery believes that the district deserves leadership who listens, learns, and leads with compassion. He's running because it's time to pass the torch to a new generation of leaders not with the same political gimmicks, but with real action. He promises to inject energy, transparency, and a commitment to doing the hard work for the people of Westmoreland County.

Together, Zakery hopes to build a future that works for all people, not just the powerful few.

ZAKERY’S VISION

I believe in a community where every person has the opportunity to thrive, a place where families are safe, students receive a world-class education, and working people can access good jobs, affordable health care, and the support they need to build a better life. I envision a community where no voice is ignored, where people come together to solve problems, and where our shared values guide the policies that shape our future.

My goal is to create a brighter, more equitable tomorrow by connecting with residents, listening to their stories, and advocating for solutions that reflect the hopes and needs of our community. Leadership, to me, means transparency, integrity, and accountability. It means making decisions that put people first and ensuring that every resident has a fair chance to succeed.

I am inspired by the resilience, creativity, and strength of the people in our district. Together, we can strengthen neighborhoods, expand opportunities, and build systems that empower every family and individual to prosper. By working hand in hand, we can create lasting change and transform our community into a place where we are safe, supported, and proud to call home.
