My Policies

I’m running to represent the people of Westmoreland County with honesty, integrity, and a focus on the issues that affect everyday lives. Here’s where I stand on the key topics facing our district.

  • Our economy thrives when local businesses grow, infrastructure is modernized, and workers have opportunities to succeed. Investing in our communities means creating good-paying jobs, supporting small businesses, and promoting sustainable industries.

    My Plan:

    • Fix and upgrade our roads, bridges, and public transit to improve transportation and create jobs

    • Support clean energy projects that bring innovation and long-term economic growth to our region

    • Provide resources and incentives for small businesses to start, grow, and hire locally

    • Expand workforce development programs, including apprenticeships and trade training, to prepare residents for the jobs of the future

  • Rural and working-class communities are stuck with underfunded schools because of unfair property tax systems. It’s leaving our kids behind.

    My Plan:

    • Fully fund public schools in every zip code

    • Invest in Pre-K, early childhood education, and special education services

    • Expand trade school and job training programs for students who don’t choose college

    • Support fair pay for teachers and modern classrooms for students

  • Access to healthcare shouldn’t depend on your zip code or your wallet. Rural clinics, Medicaid, and CHIP are lifelines in our community—but they’re constantly under threat.

    My Plan:

    • Protect Medicaid and CHIP

    • Lower prescription drug costs by holding drug companies accountable

    • Increase mental health services, including school-based support

    • Treat addiction as a health issue, not just a criminal one

  • Our seniors have built the foundation of this community, and now it’s our responsibility to ensure they can live with dignity, security, and respect.

    My Plan:

    • Protect and strengthen Medicare and Medicaid to safeguard essential healthcare

    • Expand property tax relief programs for seniors living on fixed incomes

    • Increase access to prescription assistance programs to help lower medication costs

    • Fund in-home care services and strengthen efforts to prevent elder abuse, ensuring seniors receive the support and protection they deserve

  • Pennsylvania is home to over 700,000 veterans—one of the largest veteran populations in the nation (U.S. Census Bureau). Yet too many face gaps in healthcare, job opportunities, and housing.

    My Plan:

    • Guarantee quality healthcare and mental health support for veterans

    • Expand housing, job training, and career services

    • Provide tax relief and targeted support for military families

    • Fight veteran homelessness with permanent housing solutions and support programs

  • Small businesses are the backbone of our community, yet too many face unnecessary hurdles that keep them from growing and thriving. From complicated regulations to limited access to capital and training, local entrepreneurs often struggle to compete with larger corporations.

    My Plan:

    • Cut red tape and streamline permitting processes so small businesses can open and expand faster without costly delays

    • Provide grants and low-interest loans specifically for local startups and family-owned businesses to help them invest in equipment, technology, and workforce

    • Offer targeted tax relief incentives to small businesses that create good-paying jobs and hire from within the community

    • Establish local business resource centers that offer free or low-cost training, mentorship programs, and help with marketing and digital tools to boost competitiveness

    • Promote “Buy Local” campaigns to encourage residents to support small businesses and keep more dollars circulating in our community

  • Too many people across Pennsylvania—families, veterans, seniors, and individuals from all walks of life—are priced out of homeownership or burdened by rising rent costs. Homelessness remains a serious challenge, affecting people in every community (HUD Report).

    My Plan:

    • Develop programs to help first-time homebuyers from all backgrounds achieve the dream of owning a home

    • Advocate for affordable housing policies that protect renters and ensure fair treatment for everyone

    • Expand rental assistance and support services for seniors, veterans, and vulnerable populations

    • Invest in revitalizing neighborhoods to create safe, stable, and welcoming communities for all residents

  • Too many hardworking Pennsylvanians struggle to make ends meet because wages haven’t kept pace with the rising cost of living. Pennsylvania’s minimum wage has been stuck at $7.25 an hour since 2009, while the cost of living continues to climb. Meanwhile, other states pass us by with higher wages and stronger worker protections. In Western PA, a living wage is nearly $23/hour for a single adult and over $42/hour for a parent with one child (MIT Living Wage Calculator). This growing gap makes it harder for families to get ahead and holds back our local economy.

A fair minimum wage is essential—not only to lift families out of poverty but also to strengthen our communities and economy.

    My Plan:

    • Advocate for a gradual increase in the minimum wage to at least $15/hour and ensure it automatically adjusts with the cost of living

    • Support strong protections to guarantee fair pay and prevent wage theft

    • Expand apprenticeships and union trade programs to create pathways for well-paying jobs

    • Provide small businesses with resources and incentives to help them grow while paying workers fairly

    • Promote policies that reduce income inequality and create real opportunities for economic mobility

    • Invest in local economic growth by repairing infrastructure and supporting clean energy initiatives and small businesses

  • Pennsylvania faces a devastating opioid crisis, with one of the highest opioid death rates in the nation—43.2 deaths per 100,000 people, compared to the national average of 32.4 (CDC Data via Methadone.org).

    My Plan:

    • Expand access to treatment, including both outpatient and residential care options, to meet the needs of all individuals struggling with addiction

    • Make Narcan (naloxone) widely available to first responders, community centers, and families to save lives from overdose

    • Increase funding for peer recovery programs and community-based support services that provide ongoing assistance and hope

    • Invest in prevention education and early intervention programs in schools and communities to stop addiction before it starts

  • To build a thriving future, we must embrace technology and innovation that create new opportunities and improve lives across our community. Investing in cutting-edge industries and digital infrastructure will help attract good jobs and prepare our workforce for tomorrow.

    My Plan:

    • Support initiatives that expand high-speed internet access for all, closing the digital divide

    • Promote STEM education and training programs to equip students and workers with essential skills

    • Encourage partnerships between local businesses, schools, and tech startups to foster innovation

    • Invest in emerging industries like clean energy, advanced manufacturing, and health tech to drive economic growth

  • First responders are stretched thin, and communities need public safety solutions that actually work. We also need a justice system that protects rights while keeping people safe.

    My Plan:

    • Invest in local police, fire, and EMS resources

    • Expand crisis response teams with mental health professionals

    • Build community trust through training and transparency

    • Ensure fairness in our justice system for everyone

    • Protect Second Amendment rights while keeping guns out of the hands of violent criminals, domestic abusers, and children. Because responsible gun ownership and public safety go hand in hand

  • Our children and young people are the future of our community, and embracing technology and innovation is key to giving them the tools they need to succeed. By investing in education, digital access, and career opportunities, we can empower the next generation to build stronger, more prosperous lives.

    My Plan:

    • Expand access to high-speed internet and digital resources to close the digital divide for all students

    • Invest in quality education—from early childhood through college and vocational training—with a strong focus on STEM skills

    • Promote apprenticeships, internships, and career counseling to create clear pathways into well-paying, tech-driven jobs

    • Support mental health resources and safe learning environments to help youth thrive

    • Encourage partnerships between schools, local businesses, and tech innovators to foster creativity and economic growth
